Chuck Cartmill, C.E.T.

President – Chuck Cartmill is a lifelong entrepreneur. He has recently been awarded many accolades for his accomplishments with C-Vision Ltd, including Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Manufacturing category and also Overall Atlantic Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006. Chuck started C-Vision in 2002 with no government money or bank loans, and has guided the business from start up to a world class, globally competitive electronics manufacturing and design services company. Chuck also owns and operates several other businesses, including the first business he started in Technical Sales and Marketing 35 years ago, C.S.A. Enterprises, which is headquartered in Halifax, as well as Reptech Enterprises which is headquartered in Toronto.

Adam Harris, B.Comm, CSC

Managing Director – Adam has supported clients in the pharmaceutical, petroleum, ceramics, energetics  and electronics industries over the past 8 years in evaluating the adoption of  thermal instrumentation for product development and process control.  Having contributed to a number of papers on application of the thermal effusivity and conductivity technologies in manufacturing and R&D environments, Adam is well respected for his business and technical acumen on the product line originally developed by Mathis Instruments.  Adam graduated from the Dalhousie University School of Business Administration with a Bachelor of Commerce and has completed graduate courses at Harvard University (Summer School) and the University of New Brunswick.

Jack Josefowicz, Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer – PhD in Physics from the University of Waterloo.  Jack began his career with Xerox, developing thin film (electron beam deposited) solid state voltage limit switches and laser scanning systems.  As a Senior Scientist and Program Manager at Hughes Research Laboratories in Malibu, CA, Jack fabricated the world's first gallium arsenide high speed integrated circuits using self aligned field effect transistors with pure tungsten gates and was involved in the fabrication of large scale, high speed integrated circuits.  Prior to joining C-Therm, Jack was most recently with Tyco Electronics, where he served as Director of Technology and R&D.  Jack specialized in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) chemical and equipment process optimization, lead-free PCB design and high temperature assembly optimization.  He also developed expertise in the following areas: failure and root cause analysis; reliability testing methodology and reliability program strategy development (Weibull analysis), interconnect stress testing (IST), CAT, ion migration testing, scanning and transmission microscopy, surface analysis, metallurgy, crystallography and solder joint reliability testing and analysis; assistance as an expert witness, product liability investigations and defense. Jack holds 13 patents, has been published no less than 50 times in leading scholarly journals and other publications, and has been an invited lecturer to Cisco, Celestica, Flextronics, Solectron, Jabil, Northrop Grumman, Motorola, Nokia, Raytheon, Boeing, and many other major companies.
